Kuy teav is a popular dish that is usually served as breakfast in Cambodia. This dish is made of rice noodle with pork-based broth. It's garnished with lettuce leaves, bean sprouts, chopped scallions, saw tooth coriander, black Kampot pepper, and caramelized garlic oil. It will be more delicious if you add some lime juice before eating. Kuy teav is also present in Vietnam, Thailand and China but kuy teav in Cambodia is distinctive as its own flavor. Phnom Penh kuy teav is the most famous kuy teav in Cambodia. It also comprises meat slides; pigs blood jelly; chopped pork offal such as intestine, heart, liver and lung; roasted duck; Mekong River prawns, fish cake and squid. Nowadays, kuy teav can include beef, chicken and also seafood according to the user’s taste.
