Mai Chau town is approx 150 km from Hanoi and located in Hoa Binh province. This region is about 150 metres above sea level and a popular destination for travellers on the Vietnam tour packages. The local Mai Chau district is home to several ethnic minority groups, including the Tay, Muong, Zao, Hmong and White Thai.
