The beginning of this time-frame is great for travellers that prefer a mild temperature, while leaving it a bit late is practical for the upper temperature range. Also, the rainfall can start to increase in August to November while there is the risk of typhoons during this time.

The beaches in southern Vietnam are able to benefit from high temperatures year-round that can reach in the region of 30° C. Con Dao is blessed with hot and humid weather year-round and the wet season runs from (May-November). The showers are mostly in the afternoon and are mostly brief – although heavy rain can be expected at night from July to September. In Mui Ne and Phu Quoc the wet season lasts from June-September. Mui Ne has the benefit of experiencing a microclimate which means less rainfall, but there are still light showers in the afternoon.
