Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in Hanoi. Delight the evening recuperating in the cosmopolitan Intercontinental Hotel.
Day 2: Take a tour to the city of Hanoi, taking in the ancient and historic Old Quarter of Hanoi and many tourists sites including the famous One Pillar Pagoda, Hoa Lo Prison and Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum. In the evening board your luxurious 5 star overnight train North to Sapa.
Day 3: Enjoy the wonderful beauty of Sapa, covered in between the northern mountain range. Relax in the 5 star resorts, enjoy the views, explore the town, and relax in the, not to be missed, mountainside spa.
Day 4: To get the best views of the country, take a short trip by private car out of town and go on a tramp into the open hills. Enjoy a delicious dinner at one of Sapa’s many fine restaurants before taking the train overnight back to Hanoi.
Day 5: Arrive back in Hanoi and be transferred straight to Ha Long bay and board your luxury cruise boat. Spend a day cruising around the magnificent bay and enjoy fresh seafood and fine wine as you watch the sun set on your amicable surroundings.
Day 6: An early morning start to catch the early morning stillness. As the limestone formations appear from the pre-dawn tranquillity, practice some Tai Chi or simply go on a photo probe. Return to Hanoi for another night to stay in the Intercontinental Hotel.
Day 7: Fly from Hanoi to Da Lat, and the popular old French mountaintop colony in the south of Vietnam. See the difference between this outpost and Sapa in the north. Stay in French villas from the 1920s and 30s in the beautiful resort.
Day 8: Spend a day exploring and enjoying Da Lat taking mountain biking, jaw-dropping cable car rides, exquisite dining or simply relaxing in the spa.
Day 9: Fly from Da Lat to Saigon. Take a tour of the modern hub of the country, not forgetting to visit many historically significant sites in the former capital of South Vietnam. Spend the evening in the indulgent Hotel with excellent views of this bustling Metropolis.
Day 10: Departure Day.
