Cau Ngu festival is organized to show the gratitude to Truong Quy Ong. He is the founder of the village and guides them how to trade and catch fish. According to tradition prior to 500 years, the festival was held within 3 days from January 10th to January 12th lunar month. On the 12th lunar month, Thuan An fishing village often prepares Cau Ngu festival. First part prays for prosperous country. Second part have many fun game which recur life with activities convey the community’s dream to have bumper harvest as well as prosperous life.
Thuan An preserves not only the traditional cultural values but also image of beautiful beaches, an ideal place of the Hue and visitors… The festival of Thai Duong village, Thuan An commune is one of the traditional rituals. Despite many changes over the time, the villagers still keep the good traditions so far. Cau Ngu festival still retains and develops. It is an honor when the villagers contribute to festival.
