For a place that is out of the way, the Eden Bar can get pretty packed and noisy at night. This place appears to be the sister bar of the popular Eden Bar in the Pham Ngu Lao backpacker district of Ho Chi Minh City. Eden Bar in Ho Chi Minh City is respected among the gay and lesbian communities for its tolerance, so it might be assumed that the Phu Quoc franchise is gay-friendly too. Happy hour (which is actually three hours, from 6pm to 9pm) is the best time to be here, as the cocktails cost only 30,000 Dong (less than US$2). Some people have complained about rough treatment from the owner, while others have called him friendly and even “camp”. Whatever, you cannot beat the location of this bar directly on Long Beach.
