Located near the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery (Don Rak), this museum showcases an exhibition about the history of the Thailand – Burma railway, a 145-kilometer train track between Bang Pong in Thailand and Thanbuyuzayat in Myanmar that was built by prisoners of wars during the invasion of the Imperial Japanese Army, WWII. The educational exhibition displays information and photographs about planning and construction processes of the railway as well as the geography, living condition in POW camps, medical aspects, summary of deaths, operation, bombing and end of the railway, as well as aftermath of the war.
