Hello Hoai,
Thank you so much for your email and I apologise for the delayed response to you. We have been very busy since our return.
Firstly we wish to say from the bottom of our hearts, thank you thank you thank you so much for all that you did in organising a wonderful holiday for us. We had a fantastic time and enjoyed everything that we saw and did during our time in Vietnam and Cambodia. We wish we could have stayed longer.
All the guides and drivers were fabulous and did us a great service. We would like to especially thank Doh and the driver in Saigon, and also Siya and the driver in Siem Reap - they really went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our trip. The english from all the guides was very good.
We really enjoyed learning about the history and culture of both Vietnam and Cambodia. The food in both countries was just wonderful and we got to experience many dishes we had never tried before, although we did find sometimes there was too much food at lunchtime and we couldn't eat it all which made us feel a little wasteful and we didn't want to offend anyone for not eating it all.
Some of our highlights for the trip were - Buffalo sales at the markets in Sapa, The old quarter in Hanoi was fabulous to explore all the alleyways. We also really enjoyed the Bich Dong Pagoda and lantern making and cooking school in Hoi An. On the Mekong it was the floating markets and the rice paper and rice noodle workshops - fascinating. We are glad to have learnt about the Reunification Palace, cu chi tunnels, and killing fields. Sambo Prei Kuk and Angkor Wat were amazing.
We will certainly be coming back, we have to try again to visit Halong Bay, and would love to spend more time in Hanoi. and then we can go to laos, myanmar etc.
We thank you very much for your offer to join you for dinner and would very much like to do that one day and look forward to meeting you next time.
I have attached a few photos for you. Again thank you for everything and the lovely painting that you gifted to us - it is beautiful.
Best regards until next time ......
