Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (G)

Today we enjoy a full day Hanoi city tour of this charming capital city including the mausoleum of the nation's founder Ho Chi Minh (close on Monday & Friday), the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, the impressive Ethnologic Museum, the beautiful West Lake, the Tran Vu Pagoda, the peaceful lake of the Restored Sword.

This scenic drive passes through the fishing village of Lang Co before climbing over the Pass of Ocean Clouds. After breakfast, we Drive to My Tho (65km) - The quiet capital city of Tien Giang province, is the traditional gateway to the Mekong Delta, an interesting and beautiful Vietnam Tour to catch a glimpse of the famous river. On arrival, we visit the beautiful Vinh Trang pagoda, the most famous pagoda in the south of Vietnam whose architecture is a mixture of Vietnamese, Kh’mer and Chinese before taking a private boat trip along the small canals of Mekong River seeing the daily life of the Mekong River people in both sides of the river. Then take a short tour by “xe loi” (motorized rickshaw) on the rural lane to the bank of Mekong River visiting a rice farm, coconut candy factory and honey bee farm. Continue our journey by sampan through the canals and mangrove forests to reach an island. Upon arrival in Cu Chi, we visit the incredible underground tunnel network of approximately 200 kilometres hand-constructed by Vietnamese guerillas during the long struggle for independence where you will understand more about the Vietnam War or American War, a must see Vietnam Tour for any tourists to learn about Vietnam past and present days. Day 12: Ho Chi Minh – Phan Thiet (B) (Driver)

In a nice setting with white sand beaches and coconut trees, the beach resort of Phan Thiet is also endowed with amazing spots such as sand dunes, natural lakes and astonishing red canyons. The village is worth a visit for three reasons – firstly, very few tourists go further than the dunes, secondly, the small harbour is picturesque (there’s an excellent view from where the dunes road turns off) and thirdly, there’s an interesting pagoda where followers of Vietnam’s whale cult hold services and store skeletons of the massive sea mammals.
