Day 1: Arrival Ho Chi Minh City (Your Vietnam Holiday started) (G)

Arrive at Tan Son Nhat airport, welcome by our private Vietnam tour guide and driver and transfer to you hotel for check in. Ho Chi Minh, the most exciting city of Vietnam, a mecca of commerce, also a city with a chequered history and a rich culture, its pagodas, museums, public buildings, parks and boulevards make it one of the most delightful Vietnam Tours and cities to visit in Vietnam.

If we have time, we will arrange the short visit to the Independence Palace, Ben Thanh Market...Free time at leisure.  Overnight in Ho Chi Minh

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City – Tay Ninh – Cu Chi Tunnels – Ho Chi Minh (B/L) (G)

At Tay Ninh visit the incredible Cao Dai Great Temple, with architecture that could have come straight from a Walt Disney fantasy and where all the major faiths of the world blend together in a unique religious cocktail. In the afternoon, visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence where you will understand more about the Vietnam War or American War, a must see Vietnam Tour for any tourists to learn about Vietnam past and present days. Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh Trang pagoda – Can Tho (B/L) (G)

After breakfast, we Drive to My Tho (65km) - the quiet capital city of Tien Giang province, is the traditional gateway to the Mekong Delta, an interesting Vietnam Tour to catch a glimpse of the famous river. On arrival, we visit the beautiful Vinh Trang pagoda, the most famous pagoda in the south of Vietnam whose architecture is a mixture of Vietnamese, Kh’mer and Chinese before taking a private boat trip along the small canals of Mekong River seeing the daily life of the Mekong River people in both sides of the river. Then take a short tour by “xe loi” (motorized rickshaw) on the rural lane to the bank of Mekong River visiting a rice farm, coconut candy factory and honey bee farm. Continue our journey by sampan through the canals and mangrove forests to reach an island. Stroll on a fruit garden, taste diverse types of seasonal fruits, tea mixed with bee’s honey and enjoy a special folk show of traditional Mekong Delta music. Continue to Can Tho – the heart of Mekong Delta in Vietnam. Check in on your arrival, free at leisure and overnight in Can Tho.

Day 4: Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market – An Binh Island (B/L/D) (G)

cai rang floating marketIn the morning, we make the boat cruise to see the Cai Rang floating market (the nicest one with heaps of rowing boats), truly highlights of any Vietnam Tours where you will enjoy the beautiful scenery and see the daily activities of the locals who live along the Mekong canals and later, you will roam through the village to visit a rice husking mill, a rice noodles making shop which are nice chances to discover the daily life of Vietnamese people in Mekong Delta. After lunch, we drive to Vinh Long – and boat trip to An Binh Island for a night at homestay at a local family. Free time at leisure to walk or cycle to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside.

Day 5: An Binh Island – Ho Chi Minh City – Da Nang – Hoi An (B/L) (G)

After breakfast, we take the boat trip to visit Cai Be floating Market which is smaller than Cai Rang but not less interesting. After lunch in a local restaurant, we drive back to Ho Chi Minh airport for the short flight to Danang. Pick up and transfer to your hotel, free at leisure and overnight in Hoi An.

Day 6 to 7: Hoi An Free Days (B)

Its buildings and its street plan reflect the influences, both indigenous and foreign, that have combined to produce this unique heritage site.

Days free to cycle through rice paddies in the countryside of Hoi An ancient town, shop for souvenirs among the antique shops and art galleries, or just sit at sidewalk cafes and soak up the atmosphere of this quaint town. Or relax on the white sandy beach of the famous China Beach. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 8: Hoi An – Da Nang – Marble Mountains – Hue (B/L) (G)

After breakfast, leave Hoi An for Hue, the last imperial capital of Vietnam, well-known for magnific architecture, pagodas and royal tombs laid in small villages and surrounding hills and one of the most popular cities for all the Vietnam Tours. En route have a look at the famous China Beach and visit Cham Museum which contains the finest collection of Cham sculpture in the world. Upon arrival in Hue, visit the Imperial Citadel, the Purple Forbidden City. Overnight in Hue.

Day 9: Hue Free Day (B)

Day 10: Hue – Flight to Hanoi (B) (G)

After breakfast, we take you to the airport for the short flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, our private Vietnam Tours guide and driver will welcome your Vietnam Holiday to Hanoi, a city where the exotic chic of old Asia blends with the dynamic face of new Asia. Where the medieval and modern co-exist. A city with a blend of Parisian grace and Asian pace, an architectural museum piece evolving in harmony with its history, rather than bulldozing through like many of the region’s capitals. Hanoi is where imagination becomes reality. Free at leisure.

Day 11: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Train to Lao Cai (B/L) (G)

Depart your hotel this morning at 0800 for the 2-hour drive through rural northern Vietnam to the site of Vietnam's first capital, Hoa Lu. Visit to the temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968-80), and Emperor Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980-1009). The ancient Hoa Lu Citadel (most of which has since been destroyed) once covered an area of three square kilometers.

Continue to Tam Coc through stunning limestone karst valleys surrounded by picturesque fields and villages, along the way stop where you wish to take photographs. On arrival in Tam Coc have a Vietnamese lunch. After lunch, board your private sampan for a leisurely 2.5-hour cruise. As the boat gently slices through the water, notice the enormous limestone karsts jutting out from the green rice fields. After the boat trip, climb up to Bich Dong Pagoda on nearby Ngu Nhac Mountain, dating to 1428 and comprising three structures: Ha, Trung, and Thuong Pagodas, in ascending order before returning to Hanoi. This evening, we take the overnight train to Sapa.

Day 12: Lao Cai – Ethnic Market – Sapa (B/L) (G)

The markets in the Northern Vietnam are always the colorful meeting places for the hill tribes.  Minority people come down from the mountains to sell their products, or just for catching up on the latest news, gossip, drinking away troubles or seeking for lover. Met by our private Sapa tour guide and driver at teh train station. After breakfast in a local restaurant, we drive to visit one of the areas weekly markets;

In the afternoon, we drive back to Sapa. Stop at Lao Cai border gate for a short break to visit Thuong Temple or take some memorial photos. Check in on arrival. Free at leisure. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 13: Sapa Trek & Homestay at Muong Hoa Valley (B/L/D) (G)

Day 14: Sapa Trek & Topas Ecolodge (B/L) (G)

After your breakfast with pancake made by your host family, we continue our beautiful Sapa trekking tour to Giang Ta Chai village and Su Pan village of the Red Dzao minority. It is unique experience to learn about their habit and customs. After picnic lunch at a roadside famliy, we keep on hiking to Su Pan village of the H'mong, Dao, Tay, Day minorities. Pick up and transfer to Topas ecolodge which is situated in the perfect location at two cone-shaped hills set deep in the spectacular Sapa valley of Northern Vietnam. Overnight at Topas ecolodge.

Day 15: Topas Ecolodge – Sapa – Train to Hanoi (B/L) (G)

topas ecolodgeAfter breakfast, our car will bring you to the trekking point for 5 km walk to Ban Ho village of the Tay people and a very nice waterfall discovered and named “the Lavie” by the French during the colonial time in Vietnam. Enjoy swimming then go up to the mountain to visit a small hamlet of the Red Dzao people called Nam Toong before getting back to Ban Ho for lunch then picked up by private car back to Sapa. Again, we have already arranged a room for you to have shower. In the late afternoon, your Sapa tour guide and driver transfer you back to Lao Cai to catch the night train back to Hanoi.

Day 16: Hanoi – Halong Cruise (B/L/D) (G)

Pick up from the train station, this morning, we have already arranged a room in a mini hotel for you to have shower and breakfast before driving to Halong Bay (165km), Vietnam most scenic sight and highlight of any Vietnam Tours, a recognized World Natural Heritage Site. Upon arrival, board your deluxe traditional wooden junk. Welcome drink on board. After a relaxing break, enjoy a delicious seafood lunch while cruising through the wonderful Ha Long bay visiting its amazing grottoes and caves. Opportunity to dive off the boat and have a pleasant swimming in the deep blue water of East Sea before relaxing on your sun deck to view a Halong sunset.  Dinner on board with excellent fresh seafood.

Day 17: Halong Cruise – Hanoi (Brunch) (G)

People describe Halong Bay as majestic and mysterious, inspiring and imperious and words alone cannot do justice to the natural wonder that is Halong Bay. Imagine 3000 or more incredible islands rising from the emerald waters of the Gulf of Tonkin and you have a vision of breathtaking beauty. Halong Bay is pure art, a priceless collection of unfinished sculptures hewn from the hand of nature. It is absolutely true when you get up early to catch the sunrise on the bay, doing Ta Chi on sundeck and relaxing with a cup of hot coffee or tea when the boat cruising to explore more of Halong Bay. Day 18: Hanoi Departure (B) (G)
